Day to day itinerary
Pick up from the Tbilisi hotel. Drive to Georgia — Armenia border. Border procedures. Continue the journey and head to Lori province and start an exploration of Armenia with two UNESCO sites — Sanahin monastery 10 cc. and Hagpat Monastery 11 cc. Next on the way is Dilijan city located in a picturesque highlands of Tavush Province. Visit Sharemberyan Street in Dilijan to see typical Armenian architecture and art shops located there. Transfer to Yerevan. Night in Yerevan hotel.
After the breakfast in the hotel drive to Kotayak Province to see Garni 1st AD Pagan Temple and Symphony of stones natural monument of basalt rocks. Next to visit is Geghard Monastery 13 cc. (UNESCO). Transfer to Yerevan. Have excursion around the city and visit t History Museum at the Republic Square and Manuscript museum Matenadaran. Night in Yerevan Hotel.
After breakfast continue our exploration and take a trip to Ararat Province to visit Khor Virap Monastery 4th – 18th cc. The monastery is famous due to its close location to Mount Ararat which is accepted in Christianity as a resting place of Noah’s Ark. Enjoy a stunning view of Ararat Mount from the Monastery yard. Taste Armenian red wines in Areni village. The next stop is 12th-century Monastery Norovank located on the bench of a twisty gorge among sheer rocks. Transfer back to Yerevan. Night in Yerevan hotel.
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit St. Hripsime and Zvarnots churches (UNESCO sites). Drive to Vagharshapat to see the oldest cathedral in the world – Etchmiadzin (UNESCO site). See unique exhibits in of Etchmiadzin Museum.
Return to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.
Hotel check out after breakfast. Drive from Yerevan in Direction to Armenia — Georgia border. On the way drop to see Sevan Lake 2000 m. above sea level. Visit Sevanovank Monastery built by Princes Marian the daughter of Ashot 1. Lunch in Dilijan. Visit 13th-century Hagartsin Monastery located in Tavush Province. Enjoy the picturesque views of the surroundings of the monastery. Drive to the border. Complete formal procedures on crossing the border. Transfer to the Tbilisi hotel. End of service.
